Create and give a pumpkin
The Project “Create and give a pumpkin” is becoming traditional. This year it will be a third year of the project under the title Together we proved that age is not a barrier for accepting new things.
The aim of the project was to encourage the youngsters and the elderly to socialize, getting to know each other and to a common creation with a goal of helping each other and learn a lot from each other in the spirit of celebrating Halloween.
During the project there are workshops. In every workshop, one primary school group and the tenants of the Home for the elderly can participate. The workshops are implemented at the Home for the elderly because of the easier integration of elderly people. The children and the elderly together try to do different creative things – cutting, sewing, decorating and painting the pumpkins.
As it is written in the name of the project the pumpkin is given. Our intention is that with the final products we decorate the Homes for the elderly and the rooms of the tenants. Decorations remind them of creations and socializing with the children.
We are inviting you do join us. As a volunteer, participant, school, kindergarten, company, home, so welcome everybody. You can apply till 4th of October.
