Intergenerational Workshops
When the age of the participants is not important different generations are socializing and together they create, cooperate and mutually help each other without even noticing that.
Among the youth and the elderly, there is an intergenerational gap that is the consequence of the faster development of technology and a faster way of living. In the cities, extended families (three generations) don’t live together anymore. Resourcefulness and the imagination of the youth and the knowledge, experiences and the wisdom of the elderly are staying separated. That is why we give the opportunity to these two generations to realize how much they can accomplish with mutual cooperation through the workshops. The older women can teach the children how to bake cookies. And the children teach the elderly how to use a mobile phone or computer. Through conversation, they get to know the differences between growing up now and then. All these helps to better understand the second generation and consequently the experiences of children when cooperating with elderly; and for the elderly it means the company, joy and the feeling of importance.
We are inviting primary schools, high schools, kindergartens, the Homes for the elderly and companies to participate.
Are you noticing a need to develop intergenerational cooperation or want to acknowledge yourselves with the methods of intergenerational cooperation?
Do you want that we organize creative – educational – chatting workshops?
The workshops are adjusted to the age, to the participants and the needs of the group and last two school hours.
