Me and my friends
In adolescence, peers become very important. You spend a lot of time together in and out of school, you are interested in the same things. With peers, you experiment with things that should grown-ups do, even those that also adults are not proud of, for example, smoking, drinking etc.
Why are friends important in our lives ?
-
They listen carefully
-
You can trust them when you are feeling down or you have a problem that only peers understand
-
They accept your mistakes as well. When you experience something good you are enjoying together
-
You can ask a friend for an opinion and a true friend will tell you honestly what he thinks, even if the truth will not be so pleasant.
Sometimes we also fight with friends, but this is a part of life and self-discovery. Sometimes it is necessary that each individual thinks if the fight is worth to have a good friendship fall apart. Maybe sometimes the best solution is to apologize.
Can we be without friends ?
It's hard to be without friends. Sometimes, however, this can happen. You can move, change your school or class . For some adolescents, it is difficult to establish contact with their peers, because they feel that somehow they don't belong among them or have a different outlook on life, school and parents.
Often it happens that some children are more mature, both physically and emotionally, in comparison to their peers . Such children usually find a company of older young adults with whom they have more in common.
