Self-confidence and self-esteem

What is self-efficacy?

Self-efficacy is the belief of an individual that is able to do an activity or behavior that would lead to the desired result. Self-efficacy represents an individual's assessment of what they can do with their abilities.

What affects the self-esteem?

Individual's self-image is generated as a result of perception and feeling of yourself, how we experience ourselves and how we appreciate ourselves, presentation of ourselves (self-esteem) and messages about us giving by significant others.

Through relationships with other people successful and less successful, we learn about ourselves and others. Self-development is a continuous process that takes place throughout life.

When our self-esteem is low, people feel threatened, we are under stress and do not want to show our weaknesses. Confident people do not deny their feelings, do not push away, but they honestly and constructively express it.

They are aware of their impact on others (the content of what was said is only 7 %, body language 55 % and 38 % is the voice) and that with their behavior they contribute to the development of self-esteem of others.

Coherent, persuasive and authentic communication is honest, open and cohesive. There are words, body, feelings and thoughts aligned.
